SPRING IN WINDERMERE

Windermere is situated perfectly for walkers and climbers and is renowned for the outstanding natural beauty which it displays throughout the seasons. Taking a walk up Orrest Head to take in the breathtaking views of Lake Windermere is a must.  Writing about his ascent of Orrest Head during his first trip to the Lake District, fell walker and guidebook author, Alfred Wainwright, wrote “It was a moment of magic, a revelation so unexpected that I stood transfixed, unable to believe my eyes.”

Windermere is the largest lake in England at 10.5 miles long and is a haven for boating and taking in the magical scenery.

The village provides an array of opportunities to sample locally brewed ales, a perfect way to relax after a day of discovering what Windermere and Bowness have to offer.

Important Directions: 

When you light the candle for the first time, let it burn for at least 2 hours so that the top layer has burnt to the outer edges, this will ensure an even burn. It is recommended to not burn the candle for more than 4 hours. Place the candle on a level, heat resistant surface and never leave a burning candle unsupervised. Use the candle at your own risk. Always keep candle out of reach of children and pets.
